Preview app patch sizes, new casting option, remotely adjust volume & brightness, and more
ManageXR, here, with another update! This month's release brings a ton of improvements that help you manage devices more efficiently and fine tune the end-user experience. Read on for the full release rundown.
Preview app patch sizes
ManageXR optimizes large content downloads using App Patching. With App Patching, your device only downloads what has actually changed between app versions, making updates faster and less bandwidth intensive. Now, you can preview app patch sizes to help you better anticipate true update size and time.
New casting option: managexr.com/casting
Initiate casting as a user in-headset with ManageXR's new casting option. Launch casting from the toolbar in-headset and enter your 6-digit code at managexr.com/casting. Using more than one device? With managexr.com/casting, you can cast multiple devices at once to your browser.
New commands: adjust volume & brightness
Remotely adjust device volume and brightness with new device commands. Help new users troubleshoot issues with headsets and make devices ready-to-use.

Faster HMS enrollment process
We've eliminated a few steps from the Meta Horizon managed services device enrollment process to make it faster for you to enroll devices through the Meta Admin Center method and with the Meta Device Setup App: You no longer need to manually grant permissions during enrollment.

Restrict access to settings in Shared Mode
Meta's Shared Mode grants users access to a pared down list of settings in-headset. For added security, you can now require users to enter an admin pin to access certain Meta settings. This allows you to limit access to sensitive settings like software updates, time settings, USB debugging and more.

Rotate custom background image
If you’re using a custom 360° background in your VR environment, you can now rotate it. This new setting lets you control the exact direction users face when they open the home screen menus in your 360° landscape.
Adjust IPD on PICO
Make it easy for users to adjust the inter-pupillary distance of their lenses by turning on the IPD Adjustment toolbar shortcut. Available on Pico 4 and Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise devices.
Other fixes & improvements
Turn off streaming in-headset prompt without requiring Device Setup Tool for permission grant
