New Firmware Update Policies for Quest and Pico devices

With this update, we're helping protect your fleet from unexpected firmware upgrades. We're setting a new standard for how Quest and Pico firmware updates are managed by default on ManageXR:

Quest firmware updates will be postponed by default

Choose a Firmware Update Policy for your Meta Quest devices:

• Postponed: Postpone firmware updates by 30 days from standard rollout (Default)

• Disabled: Disable firmware updates

• Defer to device: Automatically updates firmware when a new version is available to the device

Pico firmware updates will be disabled by default

Apply a Firmware Update Policy or set a target Pico firmware version:

• Disabled: Disable firmware updates (Default)

• Defer to device: Automatically prompts the user to update firmware when a new version is available

• Set a target version: Lock devices to a specific Pico firmware version
