We're back with another exciting update. Our latest release brings several new features and improvements. Accelerate content provisioning and large updates with USB Update Packages, use hand tracking in the ManageXR Home Screen on PICO devices, and more.
USB Update Packages
Updating devices over Wi-Fi isn't always possible. When your internet is super slow, you can't connect at all, or you have a secure offline deployment, pushing a large update to devices becomes a real challenge. Now, using USB Update Packages, you can push gigabytes of content to devices offline. Build a package from any configuration, load it onto a USB-C drive, and update your devices in minutes. Accelerate device provisioning and large updates with USB Update Packages.
Hand Tracking on PICO in the ManageXR Home Screen
The ManageXR Home Screen now supports hand tracking on PICO devices running PICO firmware v5 and above. If your applications use hand tracking already, you no longer need to rely on controllers to interact with the ManageXR menus.
UX upgrade for content downloads in-headset
You've always seen download progress for apps in-headset, but now you can also see the estimated time remaining. Viewing time remaining helps give users a sense of how long they'll need to wait. The estimated time can change depending on network conditions.
